Exploring Pottermore
Hello, hello. I am huge Harry Potter fan. I was first introduced to the books in 4th grade. My teacher at the time read the book out loud at the end of the day and since then I've been hooked. It has been 12 years and in that time I've read the books, seen the movies and I am now awaiting my early entrance into Pottermore.

This is a record of my experience exploring Pottermore.

Hey, how many objects, books, chocolate cards are there all together?

In Chapter 1 "Something Peculiar Is Happening" I can't unlock measurements! I read that you have to click the lamp post next to Dumbledore, but it isn't clickable... Is there some specific part of the lamp post? :/ I can't do anything else until I unlock it!

Make sure you zoom to Zoom 2 (the zoom after the original/default zoom) and then hover over the lamppost to the right of Dumbledore, it should start to glow.

Don’t move your mouse too fast over the lamppost, whatever triggers the glow is kind of picky.

The first sign on my header (the top gateway thing) still says locked. Is it supposed to? If not, how can I unlock this?

Speculation is that the locked icon will be the online store where you can buy the Harry Potter ebooks and other things. It is expected to open when the Pottermore site is available to the public in October.

I've already searched the for the ‘Curses and Counter-Curses’ book on Chapter 12 Moment 2, and I still can't find it! Please help, it's the only one I'm missing!

The book should be on the bench on the first zoom (original zoom).

You could also try going to a previous moment and then going back to Chapter 12, Moment 2 to sort of ‘refresh’ the page.

This is possibly the short film where J.K. Rowling got the name Petunia. It’s Joe & Petunia - Coastguard and was made to “raise awareness that [the] HM Coastguard had become a ‘999’ service.
